Responsibilities
  • Prepares dining room for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.

service and a satisfying dining experience.
 
Responsibilities
  • Properly greets members with name acknowledgement whenever possible; makes self-introduction and ensures proper table setup.
  • Informs members/guests of daily specials and takes orders for food and drinks as necessary and inputs into point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Gauges timing of food delivery to ensure members’ orders are prepared correctly and correct food temperatures are met without rushing or causing undue delays.
  • Checks tables frequently to determine if diners have any needs or requests including drink refills, additional bread and butter, desserts, coffee, etc.
  • Maintains tables in a neat and orderly manner and cleans as necessary.
  • Opens and closes side work to ensure that everything is prepared for efficient service.

Summary: Provides bar service to Club members and guests. Maintains general standards of stocking glassware, liquor, beer, wine and miscellaneous bar supplies. Ensures sanitation standards are met.
 
Responsibilities

Bag Room Attendant - Full-Time Seasonal /Part-Time Seasonal 

The Bag Room Attendant provides complete services for members and their guests relating to handling of bags, golf carts and driving range operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Performs all duties according to the daily procedures set by the Golf Department.
  • Prepares all golf carts for the day’s play. Ensures carts are clean and stocked with pencils, scorecards, towels, sand and sand scoops.
  •  Maintains cart storage building and surrounding areas in a neat, organized manner.
  • Monitors areas periodically throughout the day to ensure that they are neat and orderly.
  • Obtains a daily starting sheet and lesson sheet for the day’s activity.
  • Sets up all groups & lessons one hour in advance.
  • Cleans carts upon completion of play and places on charge if it is not to be used for a second time that day.
  • Rotates each golf cart as designated by the golf cart mechanic.
  • Washes clubs upon completion of play and puts them in the proper place. Ensures that bags are placed in storage or stored until the member or guest leaves and places it in the member’s vehicle. Ensures that no member or guest handles his/her own bag.
  • Notifies Management if any vehicle has been taken without proper registry.
  • Ensures that all clubs taken off property which have bag storage are logged out and have the member sign out for it. Returned clubs must be logged in with member’s signature.
  • Notifies the Cart Mechanic of any mechanical problems and assists the Cart Mechanic in all non-technical aspects of the maintenance of vehicles.
  • Opens driving range to ensure that it is ready for use at the posted opening time.
  • Ensures that all comfort stations are neat and fully stocked.
  • Maintains driving range throughout the day by checking comfort stations and chipping greens for neatness and stock levels.
  • Closes driving range and chipping greens and sets up for next day operation.
  • Picks up balls from driving range and collects trash to ensure neatness and cleanliness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Requires some knowledge of the game of golf.
  • Previous country club experience preferred.
  • Mobility to carry and lift golf bags above the head weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to remain on one’s feet and work in outside conditions for long periods.
  • Ability to prepare reports.

The Golf Course Ranger monitors golf courses in accordance with policies and procedures set forth and provides a measure of security for members and their guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Maintains constant radio communication with Starters and the Bag Room. Checks course conditions for the day.
  • Complete the daily checklists for the appropriate shifts.
  • Completes the daily tracking report.
  • Monitors and reconciles all play to match tee sheets and changes throughout day.

The Locker Room Manager provides operational leadership for locker room(s) staff and service for members and guests in addition, provides oversight for food and beverage services for locker rooms.

Assistant Golf Professional-Full-Time

The Assistant Golf Professional ensures that member and guest golfers receive exceptional service with all their golfing needs including but not limited to merchandise, tournaments, check-in, club-fitting, instruction, cart & club rental and other day-to-day operations. Assists with the coordination of leagues, major tournaments, clinics, golf schools and other golf events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assists the Head Golf Professional and the Directors of Golf Operations in maintainingtee times advanced bookings through Chelsea, committee meetings, Member/Guestsand other programs and events and teaching individual, junior, and group lessons.
  • Organizes and runs golf leagues which include Men’s and Women’s nine and eighteen-hole leagues and as well as seasonal leagues. Sets up and run club tournaments for the entire golf membership.
  • Creates and develops a productive staff that monitors pace of play on both courseswhile communicating to members, rangers and starters.
  • Ensures that members and guests have an enjoyable time while on the golf course and enforces security for members and guests pertaining to who is and is not to be on the golf course.
  • Manages the Pro Shop inventory and supervises the Pro Shop staff.
  • Assists the membership, manages and books tee time reservations, lessons, checking in play for golf, merchandising, inventory control and balancing the registers.
  • Manages staff responsibilities including and updating daily checklists, updating software, scheduling, payroll and conducting meetings.
  • Assist in the receiving, displaying, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise in coordination with the Head Golf Professional and Merchandiser.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Golf.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High golf knowledge of the game, etiquette, handicapping, rules, tournaments, andteaching are a must for this position.
  • Knowledge of tournament preparations and procedures.
  • Requires excellent communication skills and time management skills.
  • Requires strong knowledge of USGA & PGA programs and eligibility to participate in thePGA Golf Professional Training Program.
  • Requires a strong playing and teaching background.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
  • Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing.

Housekeeper

Cleans all Club facilities including the laundry room and emptying waste baskets and garbage cans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Dusts locker rooms, card rooms and Clubhouse furniture.
  • Cleans all restrooms which include Tennis, Golf and comfort stations on the golf courses. Vacuums the carpets and mops the floors.
  • Sweeps the patio area and cleans the patio furniture.
  • Washes and dries table cloths and napkins using the washing machines and dryers provided in the laundry room.
  • Irons linens after they are removed from the dryer.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of washing and pressure wash machines and dryers.
  • Knowledge of vacuum cleaner use and proper floor moping procedures.
  • Knowledge of working in a laundry room environment.

Jr. Sous Chef: Full-Time 

The Jr Sous Chef is responsible for assigned positions in food preparation, cooking, baking, and pastries, production and banquet venues.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage in preparing, portioning, cooking and advance preparation and garnishing of foods.
  • Cooks, bakes and prepares cuisine and pastry items at assigned stations and kitchens prior, during and after venue operations as needed and assigned.
  • Assumes responsibility for projects, assignments, supervision as assigned and trained by chefs and works efficient with a sense of urgency meeting or exceeding the set quality and standards.
  • At some point shall supervise, coach and counsel as part of the training and learning process assigned kitchen employees as directed by chef in charge.
  • Assists Executive Chef and/or assigned Chef in planning, preparing, presenting and serving of all cuisine and pastry items and menus. Creates menu specials as assigned and participates in chef’s cookery and baking baskets and contest. Trains line level employees on the execution of menu items and service of all dishes from the pass and buffets.
  • Creates special dishes and recipes. May create certain dishes using alcoholic beverages as an ingredient which will require sampling (a small portion of an item) to determine if the food is prepared and tastes appropriately.
  • Assists in monthly inventory as needed and shall work with the assigned chef on physical count and organization of all food areas.
‚ÄčKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Requires excellent culinary and or pastry skills and the art of presenting cuisine/pastry at a high level in a modern and contemporary way as guided by the culinary pride standards and program.
  • Requires excellent ability to organize the kitchen for a smooth service and be engaged to prepare and serve extraordinary food and pastry to the Polo membership.
  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and have knowledge of how it works, the cleaning and storage and follows all SOP’s for equipment.
  • Requires very good people skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of team members.
